Exemplary Mid-Term Outlines

Here are three class examples, with the students' permission, of mid-term essay outlines that are excellent examples of different alternatives. I recommend that you right-click on the hotlinks, download to your local drive, and open with Microsoft Word.
  1. This outline is concise, straightforward and complete.
  2. Then there is this detailed and comprehensive outline which still avoids vagary.
  3. Lastly, this outlines a polemical essay, and exemplifies the fact that scholarly essays can be openly one-sided and tendentious. The caveat is that the valuation and privileged position be obvious and open (as here) - and, of course, supported by cited fact and valid dialectic.
